NPR

We all watched as actress Amber Heard and her stressed out edges entered the court room to be confronted by her ex-husband, way better actor Johnny Depp, who sued her for making allegations against him for physical and sexual abuse. For close to a month, we listened to shocking testimonies, petty text messages and salacious articles written for and against them both. We even heard recordings of Heard admitting to physical, mental and emotional violence against her husband.

Dr. Shannon Curry, forensic psychologist, after some months of comprehensive tests and studies of Heard, described her as someone who grossly exaggerated her statements who did not exhibit signs of post traumatic stress disorder; a common effect that actual victims of domestic abuse struggle with.

In the audio, we listened to Heard gaslight Johnny Depp about the nature of her physical attack and mock his attempts to stand up for himself and accuse her of the abuse. Time and time again, audio shows him trying to diffuse the situation by leaving the volatile interactions with her while she either whined, begged and even prevented him from doing so. We also listened to her play victim, begging for hugs from her alleged accuser after filing for a restraining order against him.
