Thoughts from a Recovered Conspiracy Theorist
(Me reflecting back on when I was stupid)
So there is this phase that awakened beings go through on their path. It often starts where they begin taking their questions seriously; the questions that they feel society has forced upon them.
It could be religion, or politics or the rat race, anything. But they start to feel like they are uncovering a truth that they can’t believe was hidden in pain sight.
They start going down a rabbit hole which leads them in a myriad of directions. They learn so many shocking things about the world, society, politics, and even the great icons that they once admired. But that rabbit hole is where it gets touchy.
I found myself unearthing some new things in 2010. But, in the beginning of my journey, the “research” I thought I was doing, just like so many other peoples’ “research”, was often baseless.
I didn’t know anything about verifying sources, about how to decipher fact from fiction, and how to follow a scholarly paper trail. During that time, though many of the things I had learned were verifiably true, others were just shock value nonsense.
