What the Tarot is Not
(Looking at Tarot readings from a better space)
There is quite a bit of banter surrounding the Tarot. Some of it in favor of it and some of it against it.
To me, a lot of it seems kind of silly to me. And even though I have been Tarot practitioner for nearly a decade, some of what I disagree with comes from the side of those in favor of the art.
Not to judge anyone else’ process or spiritual journey. But I wonder if some of our ideas around why the Tarot works do a disservice to those we are serving.
Then again, part of it could be that those other readers have insights into spiritual matters that I don’t. And I’m ok with that.
So instead of trying to analyze everyone else’ way, I’ll just share my own mental process behind a reading.
I’ll even change the name of the article to, “The G way to read the Tarot”.
First of all, I don’t do your reading to analyze anyone else. I read to help YOU to think for yourself.
Shadow work, to me, is the DECISION to heal anything that doesn’t quite feel so good.
When I read, I’m just breaking down the artistic symbols on the card.
