What women can learn from Denise Huxtable about attraction
(A more effective kind of sexy)
Back in the 80’s, Denise Huxtable of The Cosby Show was a crush of every kind of young boy. I’ve heard many men say that they watched the show for her and still find her intensely attractive. Even her husband, actor Jason Mamoa, boasts about having the honor to marry his childhood crush.
In every modern generation, teenage girls have concerned themselves with how to be more attractive to teenage boys and vice versa. And that doesn’t end after high school? Women are always wondering if we are sexy enough, beautiful enough or interesting enough for men, even in middle age.
One of the problems is that women who don’t have a sense of who they are tend to use sexual objectification as their means of attraction. Without knowing what they truly want and the magic in their personality and energy, the “obvious” next best thing is the body, the sexualized body.
Many women wear the shortest and tightest, the most shockingly revealing article of clothing they can find. They “drape themselves over men like curtain” as my Bahamian best friend says.
