(Exploring inner strength using the Hanged Man card in the Tarot)

Sketchify

I used to be one of those people who was really hard on myself.

For every mistake I made came 20 negative statements about myself. With every failure came every reason why I would never succeed at anything.

And even though I’m not a type A personality, I was a perfectionist in as much as I didn’t want to be seen as a failure.

But that got old. I became a mother and wanted to teach my son better thought habits and to be emotionally resilient.

I came to learn that my inner talk was sabotaging so much of my efforts to manifest positive things in my life. So I went on a journey to undo all of that.

I studied the Emotional Intelligence program and went on a journey of self development with an MLM I was in at the time. My spiritual path took a major turn towards emotional freedom.

And I also developed better thought habits for myself. I started speaking and writing affirmations that I would recite to myself, even when I didn’t quite believe what I was saying just yet.

Slowly but surely, my self esteem began to improve drastically. I started finding more and more about myself that I could genuinely appreciate.
